Hospice Care

When is the right time to consider Hospice care?

Many people are surprised to learn hospice is for weeks and months of care, not just for the last days of life. That time often begins when a physician expects a patient to live six months or less if their illness or disease runs its normal course.

If your loved one is in pain and suffering from other symptoms that are making their quality of life poor, hospice may be able to help. Our team at Elite Hospice Care are skilled at managing pain and other symptoms and can provide the necessary relief for both the patient and their family.

Why Choose Elite Hospice Care?

Elite Hospice and Palliative Care is a locally owned and operated provider of the highest quality Hospice service available. We feel our local roots give us an advantage because our focus is always here, in the community where our families live. We don’t need corporate approval to fix a service issue or handle a special request, as our decisions are made locally, with our community and your family in mind.

Bereavement Support

Inpatient hospice is for patients in their last phase of life, when treatment in a hospital is not necessary and care at home or in a nursing home is not possible. Inpatient hospice is calmer and more homelike. Staff members move at an unhurried pace, often taking time to talk with the patient, visit with family, and answer questions.

At-home hospice care provides care focused on comfort rather than cure when a doctor estimates that your life expectancy is six months or less if your illness follows its normal course. Hospice care is available where you or your loved one lives - your home, the home of a relative, or your assisted living or nursing home community.

Respite care provides short-term relief for primary caregivers. It can be arranged for just an afternoon or for several days or weeks. Care can be provided at home or in our healthcare facility.

Bereavement support, or grief and loss services, can help family members and loved ones process emotions and understand how they're feeling during this painful time. Grief support services can also help you celebrate the life of your family member and focus on the positive aspects of their journey.
